We think this is as close to the original “One Room Cabin” that you can get today, because of course, we had to add indoor plumbing to the mix. Wouldn’t you?
Which now makes this the perfect backwoods get-away home. You can enjoy daytime family living on the first level with the open great room and kitchen area and tuck away upstairs to bed at night. Okay, you could add a big, wood burning fireplace to cook your “vittles” on if you want, but the kitchen does have a perfectly good stove.
What cabin would be complete without the upstairs loft bedroom? Certainly not ours. And once again, we have forgone the outhouse and added a private master bath. This is putting a new meaning to “roughing it”, but we’re willing to take the risk. Are you?
Once again, we have given you a workable option to finish the lower level for those pesky guests, kids, relatives–you know who we mean. Did we say pesky? We meant those wonderful guests, kids and relatives–now do you know what we mean? We hope so, because at the end of the day, it is good to know that you will be…Home at Last.
